Floyd is a proven non pro show horse. He has been exclusively trained, shown and maintained by a non pro. Floyd was a finalist in the 2023 NRCHA Limited Non Pro Futurity and has placed or won in several futurites and derbies in the intermountain west. He is good minded and simple to prepare to show. He doesn't require much to be ready to walk into the show pen. He's honest and a big natural stopper, easy lead changes. He's cowy and he'll run hard to a cow, rate and go by when asked. He can have time off and still be ready to get on without any silly business. Floyd is the kind that is forgiving and easy going. You can haul him anywhere in the trailer and he will get along with his neighbors. He settles in quickly at shows. I've shown him the majority of 2024 in a hackamore, and have started riding him straight up in the bridle at home for the past few months. I believe he will be a nice bridle horse. He is eligible for limited aged events and is paid into the NRCHA Stallion Incentive program. Floyd is also eligible for the AQHA Ranching Heritage program. Floyd is great out on the trails and in the mountains. He crosses water, bridges, opens all kinds of gates, and goes over deadfall. He is sure footed and has seen all types of country. I've ridden him around bareback and bridleless and feel safe. He drags the roping dummy around and is good with ropes. I've started my two year old on him and he was calm and quickly figured out his new job. Floyd would be great for someone who wanted to show in the cow horse, ranch versatility classes, just enjoy out on the trails, the options are endless. He has a loveable personality and appreciates scratches. I'm proud to offer Floyd to you today. Floyd stands 14.3 hands tall.
