The Meyer Ranch is located in the rolling hills of Jackson, CA.  Dylan Meyer has built a professional cutting horse training program that is productive and focused on improving skills of both horses and riders.  Dylan has drawn on his broad background including Reining, Dressage and Cow horses to build a program based on proven fundamentals and a solid work ethic.

Dylan apprenticed under NCHA and PCCHA Hall of Famer, David McGregor. He is developing a reputation for his quiet way of teaching both horses and people. Qualities that fellow trainers and clients enjoy in Dylan are his honesty and integrity. Since starting his cutting program, Dylan's accomplishments, and those of his students, have grown immensely. 

 Dylan's goal is to create confident, well-adjusted cutting horses that are competitive in the show pen and a pleasure to ride.  He is combining his history of strong fundamentals and solid foundation training with the skills and techniques which were picked up during his apprenticeship.  So far, the result has been cowy, physical horses with a great disposition and willingness to work. 

As a trainer, Dylan puts great emphasis in starting his horses with a good foundation. This creates a willing partner for the horse's future rider no matter the discipline. Through his experience handling a wide variety of horses and situations, he approaches everything with an open mind. Many horses that come to Dylan are to be started and develop the fundamentals necessary to turn that horse into the owner's ideal partner. Dylan has trained horses for basic trail riding, a finished cutter, or prepared them to go on to training in specialized fields such as dressage. He takes pride in his experience working with many young horses of many different breeds.
