Dave Stewart first developed his love for horses rodeoing, but after starting work with Steve Buster in the mid-80s, he really began his dedication to cutting horses. He earned his first cutting check in 1988 and since then has never looked back and racked up nearly $1.7 million in earnings.

Throughout his decades of showing, he has been a multiple aged-event finalist and earned NCHA Hall of Fame Trainer status.  He currently trains,  coaches, and sells horses., and is known for his ability to direct non pro and amateur cutters through the herd.
