Trained and shown by James Payne, Once In A Blu Boon dominated the cutting pen, earning 14 major championships, two reserve titles, and 29 finals appearances. He retired sound in 2015, having proved himself one of the greats.

Today, Once In A Blu Boon is celebrated as a $16 million sire whose influence extends across cutting, reined cow horse, roping, and versatility events.
