Sired by NCHA Open Futurity Champion Dual Reyish, LBR Hangem is out of Hangem High Pep, the dam to $752,664 in earners. She was sired by Hickorys Indian Pep and out of a $578,000 producing daughter of Freckles Playboy.

Kenny Platt shared, "Of all the horses I have trained, Shotty has the most cow by far. This horse is incredibly intelligent. His ability to be precise, read a cow and have explosive but calculated moves in the show pen make him unique. I truly believe he has the qualities to be the next great sire for our industry."

Ty Smith, CEO of Solo Select, commented on the acquisition, saying, "We know the High Brow Cat and Metallic Cat-bred mares will need to be crossed on something in the coming years. These mares are an integral part of our genetic pool. Woody Be Tuff is thriving, but he is 23 years old this year. We have still been searching for the next outcross sire to come up behind him. When Don Ham presented us the opportunity to acquire LBR Hangem, it was a no-brainer, as this was a void we have been looking to fill. The horse as an individual is outstanding — anyone who has seen him here in person was immediately impressed. There is just a difference. The fact that he could be an incredible outcross on the "Cat" mares is simply a bonus when evaluating all the great attribute he brings to the table."
