Mark Coie Cutting Horses is located in a small community just outside of West Monroe, LA.  He and his wife Gwen have built a family run business that offers individualized attention to each horse and each rider. They are committed to helping people achieve their goals in the cutting horse arena. Whether that goal is learning to ride a cutting horse, helping an accomplished rider win at a higher level, or having a 2 year old or 3 year old trained for competition; they have had success in all these areas.

They believe that success in the cutting pen comes from riding a good horse and staying with a solid training program.  Mark continually works with their customers to improve their horsemanship and riding skills, so that they can achieve their goals in the show pen.  Mark is also a AAAA NCHA Judge which plays into the fine tuning of showmanship skills.  This can give the beginner rider a kick-start in the sport of cutting by knowing what exactly a judge is looking for in a run.

Mark himself has trained and shown several Top 15 weekend horses, and has had a great deal of success throughout his career.  It has been no different for their customers having had two World Champions and twoReserve World Champions come out of the Coie training program in the last five years.  Aside from these titles there have been many customers to qualify for the Top 15 World Finals as well.  Another larger event that the Coie program regularly attends is the Eastern National Championships.  Mark has been a past Champion of the 3,000 Novice class along with being a many time finalist in the Open and Novice classes.  Their program has also had many finalists and Champions each year in the Non Pro and Amateur classes.
