While the dining experience of Wagyu beef is truly exceptional, there are also many impressive health benefits that are unique to Wagyu. The marbling in Wagyu beef is rich in Oleic Acid, a monounsaturated Omega-9 fatty acid that is found in olive oil and is considered to be beneficial in the prevention of heart disease and diabetes. Additionally, Wagyu has the lowest levels of Cholesterol than any other meat, per 100 grams only 10 mg of cholesterol in Wagyu verses 28 mg found in fish.
